Submit a Review
To submit a review of your host, first check the list of hosting companies to the right. If your program is listed, click on the link and scroll to the end of its reviews. At the bottom of the page you will see a form that allows you to write your own comments and to rate the program based on four criteria:
- Features
- Support
- Value
- Overall Rating
If your host is not currently listed on Wordpress Hosting Reviews, and you’d like to leave a review for others to read, we’d be happy to consider adding it to the list. Leave your review below, making sure you mention the name of the hosting company and its website, and we’ll consider creating a listing for the company and moving your review there as soon as possible.

FutureQuest is not a one-click solution for Word Press, and they do not support non-FQ scripts. At one point they banned MovableType from the shared servers due to huge resource hogging. However, WordPress has never run into those troubles.
The smallest hosting package is $9.95/month without discounts (check out the specials, or reseller account, or pay annually for discounts). This includes 5 MySQL databases, a database manager on their exclusive control panel, and 300 MB of space. Plenty for a WordPress blog.
Also included are free EZ-MLM mailing list software, 15 POP email accounts, unlimited email forwarding, FQ’s secure sendmail script, and user support discussion boards.
Without the one-click, it will take you about 10 minutes to install WP from start to finish. You need to activate your MySQL database, download the zipped WP files from Wordpress.org, unzip them, and upload them to your hosting space. Follow the instructions on Wordpress.org for the five-minute install, and you should have no trouble.
I use the automatic update plugin now, and it makes life just sooooo much easier. I’ve taken to donating a few more dollars to the developer every few months as I am in awe of how much easier it has made my life with WordPress. Just a few minutes and a few clicks, and WordPress plus your plugins are all updated. No downloading, no uploading manually, it’s a WordPress webmaster’s dream come true.
FutureQuest is quite strict on resource hogging, so I searched the forums there before installing WP the first time. I have never had any trouble with my WordPress blogs there, as long as I keep them reasonably updated.
I just moved a friend’s static site to FutureQuest and installed WordPress as a content management system for her. She isn’t very technically oriented, but she knows how to use Blogger.com, so WordPress is going to be a good solution for her to be able to update her own site content on a regular basis.
